26WA6L is a gray 24 gauge steel lug cover with a pigmented phenolic lining that is UN Rated with the 5 gallon (UN 1A2/Y1.9/100) steel pail. The pigmented phenolic lining accommodates products such as acid compounds, agricultural chemicals, insecticides, corrosive chemicals, solvents and solvent-containing materials, nitrocellulose lacquers and inks, food products, essential oils and petroleum products. Phenolic coatings are also resistant to hydrochloric acid, phenol, anhydrous chlorobenzene, carbon tetrachloride and many other chemicals. The lid’s steel tabs must be crimped down to secure the pail lid to the pail body. Crimpers are sold separately.
